Editor Spotlight: James Rolfe
The day James came to work for me, I thought, "What a nice, mild-mannered boy. He probably doesn't drink, doesn't curse. Simply charming." World . . . meet James:James Rolfe is an independent filmmaker whose work usually shows a resistance to the common trends of cinema production, therefore dubbing his trademark name "CineMassacre". Most people on the internet know him as the creator and actor of "The Angry Video Game Nerd", the foul mouthed tempered geek who shows a lot of contrast between his regular personality, his other films, and his work as a wedding video editor for DVideography.

James is talented in a multitude of different ways - He is hysterically funny and witty. James writes a wide range of original and clever material aswell as doing a lot of his own post production and editing. Rolfe can play multiple characters simultaneously reacting in a believable way to later added in versions of himself. The question is "Is they anything he can't do?"
James Rofle is the best guy in Filming and editing so use him wisely and a great actor.. can't argue with that.
I don't know James, but you can tell his family and friends love being around him. His AVGN skits are hilarious; his horrow clips a great blend of fright and fun. You can see his family and friends just like to be around him, and his clips show the audience matters too. What a rich life, James! Keep going, man.

James does such a great job with whatever he does. And I'm not just saying that because I like his AVGN movies. I watched a lot of his other works and documentaries and what not and well I hope he makes blockbuster movies one day.
James kicks ass! He's a highly talented video editor AND game collector! Hooray for this guy and his AVGN alter-ego!
There is nothing James can't do. He's amazingly comic and seriously over the top! Just when you think he won't do it he's done it. He also shows a huge range of talent from the epic paper cut-out animations of grade school to his extensive videography knowledge and completed projects. He continues to bring a smile to my face and a fire of inspiration in my heart.
Good on you, James, old chap! All the best to you and I know you'll win!!!
James Rolfe is a genius! Hopefully the media will pick up on him more and he can begin to see some TV and big screen movies.

I've watched his movie about his first movie until his 200th movie, and how it all came to be and I've got to say I was really impressed by his talent and determination to do these videos. After already developing so much skills and get so much experience, it's no wonder his AVGN movies are among the best of the internet. But it's pretty clear that he can do a lot more than just AVGN movies, and I do wonder how far he can go film-related. Keep up the good work!
James is simply the man...imitated but never duplicated.
The man is god damn hilarious and has just has such a great knowledge of the film industry with his great reviews expressing his opinions in a way no one else can. As i haven't played many games prior to the playstation 1, by watching his videos, he has vastly increased my retro knowledge with a character that is just hilarious and they just show how much of a hardcore and dedicated gamer he is. In videos such as the Nightmare on Elm street video, his skills in film making are hugely evident, showing a great use in a wide range of film making skills and his great sense of humour that many people often try to copy but usually fail in. Now i could praise the man all day but all i'm gonna say is this, well done James and keep making the videos, they're awesome!
James is better than the AVGN lets on. Sadly, he will soon grow out of it and move on to bigger and better things. This rising indie star will soon be gobbled up by the mainstream and spit out onto cable TV. Oh Rolfe, we knew thee well. All the best!
James is the reason I log off TF2, hes the reason I turn my TV off and my laptop on. Even if he stopped acting and never wrote script for another character. I would seek out whatever obscure cinematic projects or main stream media that he helps create. James, your the Conan O'Brian of internet entertainment 'once a writer now a God'.

He has his own theatre,in which he is manager,actor,prompter,playwright, sceneshifter,boxkeepeer,doorkeeper,all in one,and audience into the bargain.
Acting is not being emotional, but being able to express emotion.
Acting is a question of absorbing other people's personalities and adding some of your own experience.

Ever since I saw his AVGN movies on youtube.com and screwattack.com, I got hooked, plan and simple.
Can't wait to have you film my wedding, James =) I feel kind of silly hiring my idol to do that, but hey it would just add to the whole dream-come-true atmosphere that weddings are supposed to have.
