New Advances in Wedding Videography

Check out my friends Brett Culp of The CVP Experience and Joshua Smith of Cinematic Bride who were just featured on GetMarried.com.

Brett discusses the advantages of high definition weddings, showing off your highlight reel on portable devices ( the Bridepod ), and wowing the crowds with same day edits. Josh covers the allure of cinematic love stories. Finally, Jason Silliman of Vowcast.com reviews the latest in live streaming your wedding to loved ones who cannot attend.

Congratulation on the press, guys!

The Sub-$200 HD DVD Player Arrives

By Ken Fisher - Published: October 27, 2007

Via ars technica:

"Earlier this year the HD DVD camp expressed optimism that this holiday season would prove big for HD DVD, particularly because aggressive pricing was expected to deliver a solid HD DVD player into the sweet sub-$200 spot. It's widely believed that consumer adoption hinges on the players themselves becoming more affordable, which is why folks were getting excited about reports this past week indicating that Wal-Mart would be rolling out a $198 Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD player next weekend." Dave Williams Addresses ISES Philadelphia

Dave Williams of DVideography sponsored the January meeting of the local chapter of the International Special Events Society ( ISES ) at Rae, a Philadelphia restaurant by Daniel Stern in the new Cira Centre.

The International Special Events Society (ISES) was founded in 1987 to foster enlightened performance through education while promoting ethical conduct. ISES works to join professionals to focus on the "event as a whole" rather than its individual parts. ISES has grown to involve nearly 3,000 members active in 30 chapters throughout the world.
Membership brings together professionals from a variety of special events disciplines including caterers, meeting planners, decorators, event planners, audio-visual technicians, party and convention coordinators, educators, journalists, hotel sales managers and many more professional disciplines. The solid peer network ISES provides helps special events professionals produce outstanding results for clients while establishing positive working relationships with other event colleagues.
