Dave is a passionate cinematographer and a leader in wedding and event productions. His leadership and trademark fluid shooting style have helped raise the bar for video production professionals around the world. Dave has won several international production awards and has been named one of the top 25 videographers by EventDV magazine three years in a row.

A Passion for Moving Pictures
As a young teen, Dave Williams took an early interest in moving pictures. Armed with his Super8 film camera, he directed his friends in backyard action adventure episodes and short war movies. When portable consumer cameras hit the market in the late 70’s, Dave became the family documentarian, recording everything from birthday parties to family outings to ski trips. His passion for film and video production grew at an exponential rate!

A Unique Path to Success
Dave went on to spend twelve years in the pharmaceutical industry, utilizing his talent for video production in many aspects of pharmaceutical sales with Janssen Pharmaceutica and Purdue Pharma.  Dave’s true talent for story telling flourished when he offered to shoot a colleague’s wedding (the first wedding video Dave produced).  Dave quickly earned the respect of photo and video professionals as a shooter, editor, and eventually, trainer.

A Team Approach
As a Steadicam operator and self-taught editor, Dave has developed a team approach to shooting and post-production that is truly unique in the industry. His team of professionals are hand picked and are constantly challenged to use their creative talent and the latest technologies to produce the best work in the business.  Some have gone on to create their own production companies.

The Discreet Client
Several private clients hire Dave personally to produce personal documentary films and unique projects that will most likely never be seen by the public.  The high level of trust, unobtrusiveness, and artistry expected by these clients is satisfied by Dave’s special brand, Dave Williams Films.  A true fly on the wall experience is achieved through the use of low-light or no-light technologies and very strong people skills.

The Corporate and Commercial Brand
Dave also directs and produces dynamic corporate and commercial work for clients through his brand, Media Wave Video Productions.

Dave and his wife Sheryl are partners in the business. They reside in the suburbs of Philadelphia with their two children, Danielle and Jonathan. They meet clients at their Center City office at 16th and Locust Streets in Philadelphia by appointment only and sometimes in their home.

President

Sheryl is often the first person people speak to when learning about our company. She has a remarkable ability to assess your needs, and clearly explain your requests to our video production staff, contributing ideas that are both creative and smart. She also handles invoicing, scheduling and meetings.

Stephen Rudick

Cinematographer

On the day of your event, you want someone with the experience and knowledge to make your video come to life. Steve brings extensive experience in event videography to each project. Steve has worked with Dave for the past fifteen years in all aspects of production. When you see Steve, ask him to show you his video iPod! He has some embarrassing footage of Dave…

Pete Tyson

Editor

Pete is DVideography’s workhorse; a talented editor who is dedicated to his craft. With a BA in Film & Video from Penn State University, Pete has freelanced on independent films and local television crews. Pete met Dave on a corporate shoot and has been working with DVideography since September of 2003. Pete also shoots and helps with our Same Day Edits, a high stress job that takes talent and patience.

Gary Hanna

Editor/Cinematographer

Gary has been with DVideography since 2004 primarily as an editor. He also handles our Super8 camerawork and motion graphics. Gary has a BFA in Film from the University of the Arts, with a minor in Screenwriting and has two feature screenplays written. In addition, he has had independent film work screened on AOL Time Warner, RCN 107 NYC, Prince Music Theater, and Highwire Gallery in Philadelphia, PA.

Jordan Oplinger

Editor/Cinematographer

With just over 8 years experience in the video production field, Jordan’s solid shooting ability and editing skills have proven to be his strongest assets. He has been featured in EventDV magazine’s “Natural Born Shooters” article, and was the 2008 “Battle of the Editors” award winner at WEVA Expo.  Jordan has spent the past two years at DVideography, as an editor, cinematographer, and corporate photographer. His production experience ranges from events to corporate productions, as well as select independent shorts. In addition to DVideography, he contributes to FreshDV, as both an editor and camera operator.

Jimmy Shelton

Editor

Jimmy started as an intern in early 2009 and quickly moved into the position of Editor within a few months.  Jimmy’s passion for editing began as a teenager as he produced short home videos for his family.

Tamer Tewfik

Audio

Tamer brings over ten years of audio engineering experience to DVideography. He is also a musician with a meticulous ear. His expertise assures that your video will sound crisp and clean, giving your production the kind of professional sound quality you can truly appreciate.

Michael Richards

Writer/Composer

Michael attended school locally at the William Penn Charter School. He received his undergraduate degree at Villanova and his Masters in Music Therapy at MCP Hahnemann. Michael has his own studio in Chester County where he creates scripts and original music for radio, TV, and video in American and Latin Markets. He practices Music Therapy with special needs children.

Lisa Bell

Hair/Makeup/Wardrobe

International makeup artist, wardrobe stylist and production coordinator, Lisa brings a wealth of experience and creative talent to DVideography and our sister company Media Wave Video Productions. She is personal makeup artist to Vice president Joseph Biden, and worked on ABC’s infamous “Desperate Housewives” spoof with T.O. and Nicolette Sheridan. Lisa also recently wrapped up two Reebok “I am What I am” Campaign TV spots (Allen Iverson, Stevie Williams). From TV & film personalities to politicians, actors and top models to everyday people, Lisa makes everyone feel at ease and look fantastic.

Claudia Seyler

Hair/Makeup

Claudia Seyler is a celebrity Hair Stylist and Makeup Artist with 15 years of experience in the industry.  She provides services for television, commercials, print, corporate, photography, video, and special events. She specializes in evening/hair and make-up - particularly weddings -up-do’s, and works creatively with hairpieces. She has received several awards, including First Place at the IBS Show Competition in New York.  Her work has been seen in Bride Magazine, The Knot, Elegant Weddings , Delaware Bride, Inside Weddings, Philadelphia Magazine. Claudia was named one of the top ten hairstylist in Philadelphia in 2009.  Claudia is one of the most requested hair and makeup artist in the tri-state area and has gained the respect of some of the most reputable and respected vendors in the business.
